Kelly made it clear that she didn’t want a big ceremony or event when it came to our engagement. So once we had the ring picked out and I purchased it I was hoping to do something quiet at home on Christmas. However, it was only October and I couldn’t wait that long.

Once I got the ring in my possession and I tried to hide it in the house it just felt more and more obvious that she may find it. So I decided to propose that same day. Nothing prepared.

I approached Kelly in the kitchen comfy in our pajamas and gave her a speech, started crying, and proposed.

Thank God she said yes, we were ecstatic but our oldest son walked in and looked at us crying and celebrating and was totally confused.
